Into a balanced TRS input, the mid signal So if you plug a stereo-trs(headphone) signal Signal on tip and ring, just phase inversed. Just that they dont offer the same gain amount on the preamp.ĭont use the Headphone out of the devices You use line level signals (most often with jack connectors) Most interfaces I know also use the preamps when Tbo I also could have thought of that.but Microkorg XL to Moog Slim Phatty to Korg Kaoss Pad 3Īny insight and help would be much appreciated! At this point, I have scoured forums but haven't seen any such issue as this one, hence my amateur audio skills on full display. I then thought I needed a pre-amp, but the unit already has them built-in. I also tried all of the inputs but received the same result as well. At first I thought it could have possibly been the cable connector type (was using RCA with 1/4" adapter) and switched to a TRS, but still no sound. The gain light on the inputs are flashing green, so I opened the M-Audio control panel to turn the volume all the way up on the specific input to have it barely reach halfway into the green. I can get audio from my computer to play through the headphone and monitor outputs, but when I try to play my equipment I can't get any sound output. Downloaded the latest drivers from Avid website they installed fine. Prior to that, I had been using a Fast Track Pro with my iMac 10.8.2. I recently purchased a Fast Track Ultra 8r and received it yesterday.
